The long-in-development disaster game I Am Alive will finally hit Xbox Live on March 7th. It’ll cost 1200 Microsoft Points, and PS3 pricing and release details have not been revealed.
In the game, players take the role of a man struggling to find his wife and daughter after civilization has been destroyed by a mysterious, apocalyptic event. You’ll have to contend with deadly environments and even deadlier enemies of the human variety, and the developers have crafted a unique combat system that relies on intimidation as well as traditional fist-in-face diplomacy.
I Am Alive seems to have struggled for its own survival during development. It was first announced at E3 2009, and was feared to have been cancelled back in 2010 before being re-announced as a downloadable-only title last year.
