It looks like Christian Bale and Batman are done professionally.
The Dark Knight Rises will be the actor’s final time taking on the role of the Caped Crusader. Bale says that he and director Christopher Nolan are tying up the loose ends from the previous two films, and that the new movie will signal the end of their Batman era. The Dark Knight Rises hits theatres on July 20th.
It takes place eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, and co-stars Inception’s Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a young Gotham City police officer, Tom Hardy as the beefy villain Bane, and Anne Hathaway as the feline fatale Catwoman.
