As promised, Metal Gear Solid series creator Hideo Kojima has shared 30 minutes of gameplay footage from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The footage was originally shown to the press behind closed doors at E3 last week.
It shows Big Boss infiltrating a Soviet camp to find intel on the abduction of Kaz Miller. Several features are shown off during the video above (starts at 50 minute mark), such as the ability to place markers on the HUD to help you find your way around, the Mother Base research and development system that can be used to call in supply drops of new weapons, ammo, and items, and the ability to use supply drops as offensive weapons to drop on soldiers’ heads.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is expected to launch in 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
