The witch is back. Nintendo has announced that Bayonetta 2 will launch October 24 exclusively on the Wii U.
Set a few months after the events of the first game, Bayonetta 2 will see Bayonetta travel to the depths of hell to save her friend Jeanne from the clutches of a demon. Expect plenty of hack and slash action, and for those of you who hate the touchscreen-enabled Wii U GamePad, it can also be played with the more traditional Wii U Pro Controller.
If you’re annoyed that Bayonetta 2 is only coming to the Wii U, keep in mind that the game probably wouldn’t even exist if Nintendo hadn’t helped pay for it. That’s according to developer Platinum Games, which has stated that they weren’t planning to make a sequel until Nintendo stepped in.
Bayonetta 2 will also include a new Wii U version of the original game, complete with updated controls and voice commands.
