There’s some good news and some bad news for anyone anxiously awaiting the Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul.
First, the bad news. AMC has delayed the premiere of the new show. The first episode was set to debut this November, but it will now hit the airwaves in early 2015. As for the good news, the network has already ordered a second season, which means they must be pretty confident that it will be a success. The second season will begin airing in 2016, and consist of 13 episodes. The first season, on the other hand, will only have 10 episodes.
Better Call Saul is a prequel to Breaking Bad that will focus on the exploits of Walter White’s sleazy criminal lawyer Saul Goodman. Creator Vince Gilligan is returning, along with Breaking Bad writer Peter Gould, who created the Goodman character. Bob Odenkirk is reprising his role, and several other Breaking Bad actors will return as well.
