Sit back and watch the first trailer for Birdman, a new dark comedy starring Michael Keaton, Emma Stone, Edward Norton, and Zach Galifianakis
No, the film has nothing to do with the animated series Harvey Birdman. It tells the story of a washed up and delusional actor, played by Keaton, who tries to recapture his former glory by starring in a new Broadway play. Keaton’s character in the film is best known for having played a big screen superhero named Birdman, so given the fact that Keaton played Batman in real life, expect plenty of self-aware comedy. The film is directed by Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, who received a Best Director nomination for his 2010 drama Biutiful.
Birdman will fly into theatres on October 17.
