In a new behind-the-scenes video for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, creative director Bret Robbins touches upon some of Sledgehammer’s methods to crafting a grounded, more engaging story.
According to Robbins, the team at Sledgehammer Games tapped as many relevant resources as they could for consultation, including military advisors, Delta Force operators, Navy SEALs, and futurists. For the story itself, they wanted to give the narrative focus by following only one character so that the player is directly immersed in the story because events are happening (by way of perspective) to them.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launches across Windows PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360 November 4.
