Warner Bros. has revealed that the 1960s Batman TV series starring Adam West and Burt Ward will finally hit Blu-ray this November. They’ve also released the first trailer, but unfortunately, it’s only SD so it doesn’t reflect what the episodes will look like when viewed on the disks. The studio says they’re being fully remastered for their first HD presentation, so we’ll have to wait and see how good they look.
The set was first announced earlier this year, and this will mark its home video debut in any format. There were some rights issues that prevented the show from being released until now, and thankfully Warner Bros. has worked those issues out just in time for Batman’s 75th anniversary.
There’s no word yet on what new special features are being created for the set, but more details will be announced during a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 24. Adam West, Burt Ward, and Catwoman actress Julie Newmar will be there.
