Crytek has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming “action-packed” online multiplayer game titled Arena of Fate that will arrive on consoles and PC in summer 2014.
According to the trailer’s description, players will “step into the shoes of legendary heroes from history and fantasy and lock horns in the “Arena of Fate”.” The trailer also invites players to sign up for the game’s beta via its official website, that isn’t live at the time of writing.
Curse reports that the game will pit historical and fantasy figures against one another in five vs. five battles, suggesting that the game will be a MOBA. Each character will apparently use battle traits that are unique to his/her/it’s lore.
The game is being developed by Bulgarian studio Crytek Black Sea, which was purchased by Crytek in 2008.
An early access beta for Arena of Fate will begin this summer, and the game will be playable at E3 2014 next month.
