Dark Souls II is getting three separate batches of downloadable content.
Known as The Lost Crowns trilogy, the packs give players a new story campaign that will take them to unexplored locations filled with deadly new foes, diabolic challenges, and fearsome bosses. The first chapter, titled Crown of the Sunken King, will be available on the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 starting July 22. The second pack, titled Crown of the Old Iron King, lands on August 26, followed by the final pack, Crown of the Ivory King, on September 24. You can get all three of them as part of the $25 Season Pass, or for $10 each by themselves.
Crown of the Sunken King, the first chapter in the trilogy, sends players on a journey to reclaim the crowns that Drangleic’s King Vendrick once owned. Crown of the Sunken King features an entirely different world within the Dark Souls II universe, where stepped pyramids span a vast underground cavern. It is said that one of the ancient crowns lay buried deep within these dark caverns; but surely such a valued item cannot sit unguarded. Players that seek adversity and glory will be rewarded with a crown that holds the strength of lords from times long past.
