If you’re getting tired of waiting for Star Wars: Episode VII, here’s how you can make your own Star Wars movie.
Disney has released the Star Wars Scene Maker for the iPad. It allows users to create, control, customize, capture, and share their own 3D animated Star Wars scenes using an array of pre-made characters, vehicles, and environments. You’ll start with iconic scenes from the films, but you’ll have the freedom to change them anyway you want by moving characters and the camera around, adding new dialogue and alternate music, and even introducing new weapons and items. Have you ever wanted to see Han Solo fight Darth Vader with a lightsaber? Well, now you can.
You can download Star Wars Scene Maker by clicking here. The app is free and comes with one scene, the Battle of Endor from Return of the Jedi, but you’ll need to shell over some dollars or Republic Credits if you want to get more scenes. Right now there are two others available, the Death Star Attack from Star Wars and the Cloud City Duel from The Empire Strikes Back. Disney plans to add scenes from other Star Wars movies soon, as well as content from the upcoming animated TV series Star Wars Rebels.
