Quentin Tarantino is working on a sequel to Django Unchained, but it might not be what you think.
The Oscar-winning filmmaker is creating a new comic book featuring Django that will take place after the events of the film, and see the former slave-turned-bounty hunter join forces with another western icon, the Spanish-American swordsman Zorro. Given their bad guy-killing talents, expect them to make a formidable and bloody team.
Tarantino is co-writing the new series with Django producer Reginald Hudlin, who also worked on the 2012 comic adaptation of the film. They’re joined by Matt Wagner, who worked on the recent Zorro comics. Expect to see Django and Zorro carve an ‘Z’ into comic shelves later this year.
Over on the big screen, Tarantino is rewriting his new western film The Hateful Eight, following a screenplay leak earlier this year.
