EA Sports has confirmed that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of NHL 15 will not include two popular modes.
First up, the EA Sports Hockey League (EASHL) mode, which allows 6 vs 6 online matches where each player controls one skater, will not be in the game. It won’t be available at launch and will not be added through an online update, although it will be included in the last-gen versions. EA promises that it will be in all versions next year.
Next up, the Online Team Play mode will also be missing from the PS4 and Xbox One versions at launch, but thankfully, it will be added through an update at a later date. The developers say that they’re close to having it done, but it won’t be finished in time for launch.
Hopefully the absence of these two modes won’t be a deal breaker with fans. NHL 15 will hit all platforms on September 9.
