Edgar Wright is moving from ants to grasshoppers.
Following his abrupt departure from Marvel’s Ant-Man earlier this year, Wright is set to helm Grasshopper Jungle, the big screen adaptation of a recent novel about giant, man-eating grasshoppers that terrorize a small Iowa town. The book has plenty of dark humour and action, which should fit perfectly with Wright’s brand of action and comedy.
This won’t be Wright’s first film following his departure from Ant-Man. He’s first set to helm a more serious film called Baby Driver, but few details on that have been revealed.
