Grid: Autosport Trailer Takes to the Streets

Namco Bandai and Codemasters have released a new trailer for GRID: Autosport that takes a look at the street racing discipline.

In this discipline two fan-favorite tracks (San Francisco and Washington) will return alongside Chicago, Dubai, Paris, and Barcelona. In terms of cars, players will be able to get behind the wheel of classics such as the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo 2 or BMW E30 Sport Evo, and more modern cars like the McLaren P1? and Pagani Zonda Revolución.

“No discipline has more inherent variety than Street. From hot hatches to the 1,000 horsepower hypercar monsters, every Street class will require different skills,” said car handling designer Luke Stephenson. “”Front wheel drive hatchbacks are relatively slow to accelerate and will slide wide on drivers who take too many liberties into the corner, so carrying momentum without crossing the line into understeer will be a vital skill.

“As players move through the classes they will find themselves with more powerful cars that can be a handful to control  when driving in such close proximity to the barriers and other cars.

“Street cars are relatively heavy with soft suspension to handle the bumps of the city circuits and plenty of contact with competitors. Drivers should brake early, turn smoothly and be ready to make quick corrections as the uneven terrain can easily throw any car off balance.”

GRID: Autosport will be available from June 24 in North America and June 27 in Europe for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
