It looks like the Lord of the Rings movies still aren’t long enough.
Speaking with fans today at Comic-Con, director Peter Jackson revealed that he’s thinking about making new and longer cuts of the three Lord of the Rings films. The new versions would use footage that wasn’t included in the already-lengthy extended cuts, and Jackson says that this material has never before been released.
If there’s no Tom Bombadil, count us out.
Jackson adds that the new cuts of Lord of the Rings will only become a reality if fans demand it. In the meantime, the latest Tolkien film, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, will hit theatres on December 17.
