Metro Redux has arrived, and to prove it, here’s the launch trailer.
Along with better graphics, animations, and audio, there’s also gameplay enhancements like advanced enemy AI, improved combat and stealth mechanics, better weapon handling, and more responsive controls. As for the visuals, the game will run at 60 frames-per-second, and have advanced lighting, dynamic weather, more detailed characters, improved animation, more dynamic destruction, and improved smoke, fire and particle effects. Two new play styles are also coming to both games. One is a stealthy ‘Survival’ mode with limited resources, deadlier AI, and slower reload speeds. The second is called ‘Spartan,’ and offers more action oriented gameplay. Since the updates are being handled by 4A Games, the same team behind the originals, they have the creative freedom to go back and improve, tweak, and change whatever they want, but are making sure to change things too much.
