Another familiar face from the Marvel comics is joining the Agents of SHIELD.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Friday Night Lights actress Adrianne Palicki has been cast as Marvel spy Bobbi Morse, also known as Mockingbird. The character first appeared in 1971 and doesn’t have any superpowers, other than the ability to kick tons of ass. In the comics, she’s recruited into SHIELD by Nick Fury to clean out some of the corrupt double agents working in the organization, so don’t be surprised if she’s at odds with some of the show’s characters.
Adrianne Palicki will make her debut as Mockingbird in the fifth episode of the show’s second season, which premieres this fall. Back in 2011, Palicki starred in a pilot episode for a new Wonder Woman TV series, but it was never picked up. DC eventually decided to use the character in their new movie universe, where she’s instead played by Gal Gadot.

Saying Mockingbird has no powers is incorrect. In the comics she has more recently been given the infinity formula that saved her life. But it also gave her powers in which she has increased longevity, increased strength, durability and agility post serum.
