Prepare to get wet with the next DC animated movie.
Warner Bros. has announced that the next animated film from the DC universe will be Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, inspired by Geoff Johns‘ New 52 comic Throne of Atlantis. The story will be a direct sequel to the recent movie Justice League: War, and focus on Aquaman as he tries to stop his Atlantean brothers from flooding major cities like Metropolis and Gotham. He’ll have some help from the rest of the Justice League, and all the same voice actors from War will be back to reprise their roles.
There’s no word yet on when Justice League: Throne of Atlantis will hit DVD and Blu-ray, but don’t be surprised if it surfaces before the end of the year. More details will be announced at the San Diego Comic Con later this month, and a special look at the movie will be included on the Blu-ray release of the upcoming Batman: Assault on Arkham, which hits shelves on August 12. That film is the first animated movie inspired by the Arkham Asylum video games.
