You might finally be able to explore the land of Hyrule with friends, and we’re not talking about little fairies.
The next Legend of Zelda game may feature an online multiplayer or co-op mode. That’s according to director Eiji Aonuma, who tells Game Informer that the recently unveiled Wii U game will offer more than just a single-player experience. He didn’t provide any other details, but expect to learn more before the game arrives next year. The Legend of Zelda series is notorious for its reliance on single-player, although some of the previous games have featured an online Battle Mode where you could play with friends.
The upcoming Zelda spin-off Hyrule Warriors will also include multiplayer when it arrives this September.
