It appears that Nintendo 64 games could be making their way onto the Wii U Virtual Console soon, according to an update to Nintendo’s official website.
A new message on the official Virtual Console website reads: “Check back regularly for the latest releases, including the future addition of titles from the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo 64 systems.”
The Virtual Console has previously only included NES and SNES titles, but back in April Nintendo made the first Game Boy Advance titles available, and recently released the first Nintendo DS title, Brain Age.
There’s currently no word on GameCube titles.

Apparently this has been listed on the site since launch, and Nintendo had always confirmed N64 VC for Wii U was a future plan. On the Club Nintendo site all N64 games are listed as Wii / Wii U, with them stating that purchasing it will allow you to get the eventual Wii U version at a discount.
