There are going to be a few familiar faces in the new survival horror game Alien: Isolation.
Sega and Fox have announced that Sigourney Weaver and most of her fellow cast members from the original Alien movie will appear in the game. They are: Tom Skerritt as the commander Dallas, Veronica Cartwright as Lambert, Harry Dean Stanton as Brett, Yaphet Kotto as Parker, and Ian Holm as the robot Ash. Since the game takes place years after the events of the movie and most of their characters are dead, they’ll appear in two special downloadable missions which will allow players to relive scenes from the first film. This also means you’ll get to explore the iconic locations from Ridley Scott’s classic film.
Known as “Crew Expendable,” the first mission allows you to play as one of three characters: Ripley, Dallas, or Parker, and then struggle to hunt down the deadly xenomorph in the moments right after the second death in the film. The second mission is called “Last Survivor,” and thrusts you into the role of Ripley in the final act of the film. The extra content will be available to anyone who pre-orders the game, but you’ll need to do it from select retailers to get both missions.
Alien: Isolation will be available on the PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 starting October 7. You can watch our recent interview with the game’s writer Will Porter by clicking here.
