The hit indie game Retro City Rampage is already available on the PC, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, and Vita, and now it’s adding another platform to the list.
Retro City Rampage is finally coming to the Nintendo 3DS. The previous versions of the game were nearly identical to each other, but this one needs a significant amount of work in order to make the visuals compatible with the dual-screen format of the 3DS. The gameplay is also being tweaked to work better with the new screen format and control layout, and creator Brian Provinciano is exploring different ways of incorporating the touch screen.
Unfortunately, Brian Provinciano says that it will be impossible to offer the game in eye-popping 3D.
There’s no word yet on when the 3DS version of Retro City Rampage will be available, but if you just can’t wait to play it, it will be playable at PAX in Seattle. The event kicks off August 30.
