Academy Award winning actor, comedian, and video game lover Robin Williams has tragically died today at the age of 63. The sad news has been confirmed by his family and the Marin County Sheriff’s Department, although the coroner has yet to announce an official cause of death.
Robin Williams got his break in the 1970s sitcom Mork and Mindy, before making his first big film debut in Robert Altman’s Popeye. Since then, he’s appeared in dozens of films, and lent his vocal talents to memorable animated adventures like Aladdin and Happy Feet. There are currently several films with him in post-production, the biggest of which is probably Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, which will arrive this December.
