You don’t need to have an Xbox One to play Ryse: Son of Rome.
Crytek has announced that their action-adventure game will hack and slash its way to the PC this fall. The new version will run at full 4K resolution, roughly 4 times the resolution of regular 1080p, and Crytek says this will set a new benchmark for graphics and really show off what the game can do. The PC version will also include all the DLC for the console version, including all the extra maps and character skins.
Originally released as a launch title for the Xbox One, Ryse: Son of Rome thrusts players into the role of ancient Roman general Marius Titus, who embarks on a quest for revenge after his family is murdered. The game relies on Kinect for some commands, so it’s unclear if it will be required for the PC version.
