Here are the first two trailers for The Imitation Game, a new drama/thriller that stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the British mathematician and scientist Alan Turing.
Turing cracked the German Enigma Code during WWII, which was instrumental in helping the Allies win the war. If that wasn’t enough, he also created the Universal Turing Machine, which was basically the world’s first computer. Turing tragically killed himself in 1954 rather than be prosecuted for being gay, which was still a criminal offense at the time.
The Imitation Game will hit cinemas this November. It also stars Keira Knightley as codebreaker Joan Clarke, and is directed by Norwegian filmmaker Morten Tyldum, who helmed the intense 2011 movie Headhunters. This will be his English-language debut.
